Here's to Hershey!

“What is there to do around here?”

This is one of the most frequently asked questions in the shop! There are so many things to do in and around town. If I had a full day to spend in my hometown, it would look a little something like this!

Breakfast at the Hershey Pantry for a cinnamon bun the size of my face, or Savory Cafe for the cheesy potato casserole.

Next I would head downtown to check on the shops to see if they needed any help, and then I’d go shopping at the there local businesses- The Shoppe on Chocolate, Three Little Birds, Brainvessel & Simply J to pick up gifts or something for myself. While I was in the downtown sector, I’d grab an appetizer of Brussels sprouts at the Chocolate Avenue Grill- to keep up my stamina - haha!  If I really shopped hard, I’d order Jess’s Favorite salad, which is simply delightful with its coconut breaded chicken, strawberries, and poppyseed dressing.

If I needed to get some energy out, and depending on who I was with, we could throw some axes at Stumpy’s, or walk around the gorgeous Hershey Gardens. The recently renovated butterfly atrium is magical! Whenever I walk through there I feel like I’ve been transported to a magical fairytale land.

I’d wrap up the day with a bite to eat at the intimate atmosphere of What If… of Hershey or the patio of Houlihan’s, overlooking the intersection of Chocolate Avenue & Cocoa Avenue, with the beautiful Hershey Theatre in the distance. Ideally we’d walk over and see one of their shows from the Broadway Series (I have tickets to the upcoming Hamilton show, yay!).

Our manager Kaitlyn exclaims, “I love Hidden Still! It’s tucked away off the main strip in Hershey. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant has delicious food & cocktails!   Perfect spot for a date night!" She's even wearing her KK accessories

If dessert is an absolute must, I’d pick up a Taylor Chip cookie from the Fresh Market, or, head to the Hershey Hotel’s Iberian Lounge and get a signature martini, which is garnished with a Hershey Kiss in the bottom of the class and a cocoa trimmed rim!

Audrey, one of our summer sales associates, says, “I love to hype up (and eat) Cherry Blossom Creamery!”

Other local favorites include Au Bon Lieu Creperie, Fenicci’s, Stuff’d Steaks, Desserts Etc. Simply Greek, Troegs, and the list goes on!
