Fall in Hershey: Cozy Styles, Local Events & 12 Years of Shopping Small!

While I am- not to sound dramatic, but- devastated to see summer come to a close, I am invigorated by the thought of crisp autumn air, rich colors, and a return to all things cozy: fall clothes, fragrant candles, warm coffees, and, of course, boutique jewelry.

Our shop is nestled right in the heart of downtown Hershey, PA, and we are beyond thrilled for all the upcoming fall events and happenings in our sweet little town. If you’re planning a trip to Hershey this autumn, here is your ultimate guide to fall fun, local events, and cozy boutique shopping!

September brings fun local traditions like Milton Hershey’s Birthday- big shout out to him for his hard work, incredible philanthropy, and for creating this sweet little town! Chocolate World is celebrating him with free caramel samples on September 13th, and The Hershey Story is honoring him in Chocolate Town Square Park from 1:00 to 4:00 PM that same day.

Local tip: Chocolate Town Square is just a quick walk from your favorite downtown Hershey boutique, so be sure to pop in and browse our new fall arrivals while you’re celebrating! ;) 

September also kicks off high school Homecoming season! We absolutely love seeing all the beautiful formal wear and helping you accessorize your look. Whether you’re searching for delicate gold necklaces, statement earrings, or trendy bracelets, we’ve got you covered. Bring in your homecoming dress (or a picture of it!), and our team will help you find the perfect boutique accessories to match your style.

The iconic Hershey Theatre has an incredible lineup of acts scheduled this fall, including hilarious comedians, live music, ballets, plays, and touring musicals! If Steve Martin & Martin Short happen to walk into the shop before their show on September 20th, I need to have a Knock Knock joke ready… HELP me out! What are your favorites?!

Hersheypark Halloween is such a fun way to experience the park with your family. Trick-or-Treating through the park will delight the littles, while Dark Nights is sure to keep older kids and adults on their toes! I also know my boys are going to love the Creature of the Night event at ZooAmerica- it’s right at the top of our fall bucket list.

Did fall in Central PA even happen if you didn’t go apple picking at Strite’s Orchard? Afterwards, take a stroll to enjoy the stunning fall foliage at the Hershey Gardens, and don't forget to stop by my absolute favorite place- the Butterfly Atrium! It is pure magic. They are also hosting Music in the Gardens this fall, as well as their annual Pumpkin Palooza.

Mark your calendars for Choctoberfest on Saturday, October 10th from 11am to 6pm at Chocolate Town Square Park! Knock Knock will be there offering our popular permanent jewelry, and we couldn't be more excited.

Fun fact: Did you know we were a vendor at the very first Choctoberfest? It was soooo chilly that year! We sold out of scarves and had to haul armfuls of extra inventory over from the store! This year's event will be a fantastic celebration of local craft beer, live bands, delicious bites, chocolate, and of course- boutique shopping and permanent jewelry!

Sunday, October 18, we are so excited to have been invited to Spruce Medical Aesthetic's event, Women who Glow! Join us from 11am-2pm at Renew Salon & Spruce at 832 E Chocolate Avenue. Snag your tickets here! 

October is an extra special month for our shop- we’re celebrating our 12th Birthday! This is one of my favorite days of the entire year because we get to celebrate YOU. Your love for shopping local is the reason why we have been here for 12 sparkly years.

Save the date  for our birthday party Saturday, October 24th! We’re going to party all day long at the shop with special treats, fun surprises, and gorgeous new inventory.

All of this autumn excitement leads right into our favorite time of year…… the Super Bowl of shopping small: Small Business Saturday! We’re already gearing up and getting excited to kick off the holiday shopping season with you.
